To find the best product for you, it’s important to determine your skin type. Yana’s products are carefully designed to accommodate each client’s skin’s characteristics and needs.
Normal Skin
Smooth texture, with healthy moisture balance and small pores.
Sensitive Skin
Skin which very easily becomes pink and irritated, sensitive to all types of skincare products even pollen and pollution in the air. New skincare products should always be tested in a small area of the inside of the arm for 3-5 days to make sure there is no allergic reaction.
Combination Skin
The most common skin type. Coarse texture in oily areas in between eyebrows, nose, and chin (T-zone). Noticeably dry on outer forehead, cheeks, and jaw line.
Dry Skin
Dry skin, with no oily texture, small pores, prone to developing lines and wrinkles. May be dull and dehydrated and appear to be pink or red, with limited suppleness or elasticity. This skin type tends to have broken capillaries and dry, itchy patches.
Oily Skin
Shiny with an excess amount of oil secretion. Coarse in texture with large open pores. Often subject to blackheads, acne, and calcium deposits.
Weather
Skin texture usually changes with the change of seasons. It’s important to treat your skin with the appropriate products, considering both your skin type and the given weather conditions. In the winter, skin is drier, and heavier moisturizing is required. During the summer, skin is oilier, and light, water-based moisturizers should be used. In the spring and fall, skin is more sensitive and allergy prone, so more soothing products are recommended.
For optimal results, skin care products should be replaced every 6 to 8 months. Skin can get desensitized to the same ingredients over time, and therefore receive diminished benefit from the product.
